Different tools handle data differently

Case Builder, Behaviors Checklist, and Parenting-Time Tracker are designed to keep records in your browser or on your device. Optional encrypted sync is off by default and requires explicit user action; it stores only an encrypted envelope when the deployment’s Convex/auth configuration is active. Communication Coach replaces configured names and deterministic identifiers in the browser and requires an approval step, but no redaction system can remove every contextual clue. Do not include details you would not share with the AI provider.
Communication Replay stores analyses in the browser. Communication Coach sends only the anonymized text you approve to Google Gemini through our server-side function. The service is designed not to retain message bodies or log them; provider terms and API-key settings should be reviewed before production launch.
Newsletter and optional resource correspondence
If you subscribe, we collect your email address and signup source to send research updates. When configured, subscriptions are stored in a Resend audience. Resource downloads are available without an email address; any email field on a download is an optional, separate opt-in. Checklist, safety-plan, and other worksheet answers are not sent with the opt-in request. You may unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us.
Analytics and logs
When configured, Plausible Analytics measures aggregate page and conversion activity without advertising cookies. Server logs may contain technical information needed to operate and secure the site. We do not intentionally collect the contents of local case records for analytics.
Important limits
No website can guarantee privacy on a shared, monitored, or compromised device. Export backups securely, use device locks, and consider whether browser history or downloads could be visible to another person. Optional sync is not a HIPAA claim and remains subject to deployment configuration and operational review.
